As part of my mission 101, I am in the process of getting healthy. So what is this blog for? Progress reports.
Look, I'm your typical american. Divorced, two kids, work 8 hours a day with 2 hours commute (thats both ways, not one). I eat out too much, I'm depressed, I'm busy, ect. I have a myriad of excuses NOT to find time to be healthy. Well, I'm going to go against my inclination to make excuses and just jump on being a heathier person.
I'm going to post pictures and measurements of my progress. Yes, for a while the pictures will be unpleasant.
As of today I am 5' 10" (obviously that part won't chage) and 170 pounds. According to webmd.com :
Max "Healthy Weight" 174 lbs.
Current Weight 170 lbs.
Target Weight 140 lbs.
Current BMI 24.4
Target BMI 20.1
Your current weight is within the range of normal weights. This corresponds to a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 24.4.
Your target weight is 140 pounds. Though your current weight is already within normal limits, your slimming goal remains reasonable, because once you reach 140 pounds, your new BMI will be 20.1, still inside the "normal" range.
So while (according to a webpage) I am not overweight, I'm not exactly thin either. Nor (and more importantly) am I healty. I don't eat well, sleep well, or excersize.
The plan?
Work out
Eat better
take vitamins.
Sounds easy of course, but we all know it isn't.
What I plan on doing is with in the next few days post a picture of me (not that you'll enjoy it) along with all my current measurements.
Then biweekly I'll put up a new picture and new measurements so we can all (we...haha, i know no one reads this) see my progress.
If I can get healthy, anyone can.

I hear ya sis. I did the weight watchers thing when Isaiah was 2 and lost 30 lbs. But gained it all back plus some then got diagnosed with Hypothyroidism so now it seems virtually impossible to do.
